Salvation

God never meant for us to live without Him. He went through great efforts to make it possible for us to know Him, not only in this life, but for all eternity. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." – John 3:16-18.

Every one of us needs salvation.  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23.

The Bible in Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you have never accepted Christ and become born again, or if you once prayed a prayer of salvation but are no longer living close to Him, you can pray to repent of your sins and dedicate, or rededicate, your life to Him. Sincerely and from your heart, pray this prayer:

“Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me so much that You sent your Son Jesus to die on a cross to redeem me from my sins. I accept His gift of salvation, and I ask You to forgive me of my sins and give me eternal life. Cleanse me of all my unrighteousness. Remove bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, strife, pride, greed, rejection, and rebellion from my life. I forgive those who have harmed me and wronged me. Cleanse me of everything I have been involved in that is ungodly in your sight. Break the strongholds in my life. Break the power that I have given the enemy over my soul."

“Help me to live righteously according to Your Word. I accept the victory and freedom that I now have in Christ Jesus. Help me to know Your will for my life. Thank You for saving me and giving me Your free gift of eternal life. I pray this in Jesus’s name. Amen.”

Once you pray a prayer of salvation, it is important to be baptized in water as soon as possible. Mark 16:16 says, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved.” Do not neglect this important step of water baptism.  We also encourage you to pray to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. After you have prayed the prayer of salvation, you can ask the Lord to give you the gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Here is a prayer you can pray:

“Heavenly Father, I believe your Holy Spirit is real. I believe this gift is for me. Lord, I want to be filled with Your Holy Spirit, and I am asking you for this gift. Give me the experience like the Christians had in the book of Acts. Fill me and use me with your gifts. I will humble myself and use this blessing only for Your glory. In Jesus’s name, Amen.”

If you prayed any of these prayers, please let us know, through our Contact page. Our prayer is that our Heavenly Father will bless you abundantly as you serve and walk with Him.

We also urge you to begin the following steps in your life as you begin your walk with Him.

1. Read Your Bible – As a believer, we've been instructed to spend time learning about Jesus and His teachings. These teachings are the foundation of how we are to live our lives.  “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” – Philippians 4:9

2. Pray Every Day – Daily prayer is a vital practice for strengthening a relationship with God, receiving guidance, and finding peace that surpasses understanding. The importance of daily prayer is emphasized by verses like 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ("pray continually") and Philippians 4:6-7 which says: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

3. Attend A Bible Based Church – The Bible tells us to connect with other believers. Find positive people and stay connected. This will encourage you and make the journey much easier. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:25.

Life with Christ is a journey that will guide you through whatever difficulties you may face, and lead you into hope and joy. Learn to surrender your will to God. Learn to trust Him, and know that His ways are far better than ours, even if it doesn't look like it. Trust is very important, and when you're waiting for answers, remember that He loves you very much, and He promised to never leave you. If you should stumble or fall, get back up and keep going. Most importantly, never give up!

If you have any questions, search the Scriptures, ask your Pastor, or please feel free to ask us.
