Dual-Voltage Hair Dryer

Most modern hotels provide hair dryers, with them often being a standard amenity like a coffee maker or television. While some hotels may have them permanently wired into drawers, others require you to pick one up from the front desk. If you are concerned about availability, especially with low-cost or unbranded hotels, you can always call the hotel directly to confirm before your stay.

Another option is to travel with your own hair dryer. One may choose to travel with their own hair dryer to ensure cleanliness, have access to a higher quality device, avoid the disappointment of a bad or broken hotel hair dryer, and/or maintain a consistent, familiar way to manage their hair while traveling.

If you are traveling to a different country, check if your hair dryer is dual-voltage. If not, you might need a voltage converter and plug adapter. (See Voltage Adapters & Converters for help selecting what you need.) A better option is to travel with a dual-voltage hair dryer allowing you to use it in any country with a simple plug adapter, and eliminating the need for a voltage converters. Beyond international travel, they can also be used in RVs or boats that may have different voltage systems, providing versatility in various situations.

I purchased our travel, dual-voltage hair dryer years ago from a retail store, but here is an Amazon Link to a highly-rated product from Conair that folds up small for easy packing and storage. It features 2 heat and 2 speed settings and a cool shot button to help lock curls, waves, and styles in place worldwide!
