This cross-shaped Protestant-Anglican Christ church was built in 1871, and is located adjacent to the Sisters of Nazareth Convent and close to the Byzantine Church of the Annunciation.

The Anglicans, a worldwide branch of the Protestant church led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, built their first church in the Holy Land in Jerusalem (1841).
Architecture
The church is designed in the shape of a cross. Compared to the original design of the church, the spire of the church was missing until it was added in 2014. According to a note in a newspaper article from the end of 19th century (“Christliches Kunstblatt für Kirche, Schule und Haus”), it was due to lack of money that the spire was not originally built.
